By a famine that swept the country side
One be one the crops had failed
Hunger struck like a stormy gale
People turned to the overlord
A man of power whose granaries are full
Bishop hatto shook with rage
The people decimated his stories of grain
He coaxed the poorest into a barn
Set it ablaze once the doors were barred
They would eat up the grain like rats he said
"So like rats they die." he told his minion
The screaming stopped!
Their skin seared off!
Unmoved by pain!
The evil man sealed his fate!
Silence was broken the following day
An implacable Army of rats charged the city
Hatto devoured by hungry rats
Sealed his fate!!
