Текст песни Bluehorses - The Ride

When doors lie open at halloween
On glimmering hills and land unseen
The oldest of all the world gave birth
Ride again through woods of earth
And time before the woods have spoken
Moons and stars promise broken
Dust before the first years sun
Children of the twilight come

The grey stone groans on the windy plain
And the corn mother sang for the springing grain
The calf is lowing on the hill
The grey host rode and is riding still
the eagles came with wings outspread
The hard road rang to the legions tread
The wall runs straight from coast to coast
Under the starlight rode the host

Out of the darkness on the road to the grey hill run...
Cold as moonlight.. terrible as the sun

They came form the north with their ox and plough
And their life blood hung up on the bow
And the nights between the earth and sky
Saw the host go riding by
With clammering bells and chanting priests
Proclaim the dead god from the east
And churchs rose on every hand,
Still the great host rode the land

Out of the darkness on the road to the grey hill run...
Cold as moonlight.. terrible as the sun

When gold was gone and labour cheap
And heralded manors built with sheep
Through furnace glare and smoking mill
The grey host rode and is riding still
When doors lie open at halloween
On glimmering hills and lands unseen
The oldest of all but the woril gave birth
- ride again through the woods of earth

Out of the darkness....

By tyre marked and littered streets
Sirens wail and dosers sleep,
Oh! the stink of wasted life
where the only god is 9 to 5,
The grey host rides in the dead of night
And the citys a shadow to their sight
beyond the mist of centuries
Shine the stars on the ancient tree
out of the darkness ....
