Текст песни Wishing Chair - Calamity Jane

I know you can't expect too much
when trouble's in your name
as to the facts on my account
I call myself to blame

All those dime store novels
they aren't worth a dime
but for all the lies they told
the truth's there half the time

Now I got by in buckskin
and the fact that I could ride
I took care of the living
and I loved the ones that died

I played the cards as dealt me
and so I bluffed my hand
riding with the soldiers
and dressing like a man

I've played in the Bigtop
done the laundry at Dora DuFran's
now I get by on kind barkeeps
who fill the glass of Calamity Jane

I'll play the cards as dealt me
and I'll buy the house a round
get stinking drunk till the sun comes up
and get thrown out of this town

I know you can't expect too much
when trouble's in your name
